Do you like Mustard ??

Well, I like mustard and I like to eat...a lot..as you all know. And sometimes there isn't much in the fridge at our house but the basics. That makes me want to blog about food staples / basics that every healthy and happy person should have in their fridge/pantry. Here at BBS Lifestyle we make sure that we are covered when it comes to food and nutrition. And being a mama of 2 teenagers (they like to eat A LOT), running a virtual personal training business here in Springfield/Northern Virginia, I better make sure they don't just live on junk. So. Back to my mustard chicken meal today.

Sautee cut up chicken breast (spray pan with olive oil), with salt, garlic powder and pepper. Then add a table spoon or two of Dijon mustard and mix it into the chicken. Simmer for 2 or 3 minutes and voila. Done. Baked green beans and cauliflower - very easy - boil the green beans for 5 minutes in water and put on a baking sheet. Cut up cauliflower and add it to the green beans and sprinkle them with your favorite spices and spray them with olive oil (I love canola and olive oil in the spray bottle and use it every day). Bake at 400 F for about 20 minutes (or until golden brown).  You can make a ton of this chicken and a ton of the veggies and have this meal ready in the fridge for a few days. It takes literally 20 minutes to prepare/cook everything and you are good to go with a delicious dinner. The best part - LOOK AT HOW MUCH PROTEIN THIS MEAL HAS !!!! It's music to my ears and eyes, and belly !!!  It is a generous portion of food as well, not just 3 green beans and a hand full of chicken that will leave you still hungry.
